Motion Design
I find motion design to be one of the most exciting areas within the field. It combines the foundations of graphic design such as color, type, and layout with additional elements such as music, sound design, movement, and timing. It's one of the most powerful tools for artful communication.

This first project was for Flocabulary, an ed-tech company that brings hip hop into the classroom to increase student engagement and promotes culturally responsive pedagogy. I wanted the typography and style to feel modern, fun, and age appropriate.

Travis Scott's AstroWorld was a source of inspiration while working on the illustrations for this project. I paid homage to album artwork and likened the main character after him. I created the illustrations in Illustrator and then brought them into AfterEffects for animation.
